Does anyone know if it is possible to determine Airy functions in Excel? I thought of using the formula that give Ai(x), Bi(x) in terms of Bessel functions:
Ai(x) = 1/pi sqrt(x/3) K_1/3(2/3x^3/2)
Bi(x) = sqrt(x/3) ( I_1/3(2/3x^3/2) + I_(-1/3)(2/3x^3/2) )
However, Excel does not evaluate...
BJT's are formed from doped semiconductors. Semiconductor properties can be quite sensitive to temperature. For a conductor, resistance increases with temperature. In a simple model, this can be thought of as due to the increased motion of the atomic cores that inhibit the flow of conduction...
Re: Biot-Savart Law - Electromagnetics - Unanswered Question
If the magnetoc field is truly static then no current will be induced in the steel plate. However I wasn't sure if Jackson 1928 was looking at a situation when the magnetic field was first turned on or if the plate was being brought...
Re: Biot-Savart Law - Electromagnetics - Unanswered Question
I don't think I can help too much, though can hopefully shed some light on your problem:
1) The Biot Savart Law is only strictly true for time steady currents. When you look at currents that change in time you have to take into...
How about this approach?
You have two (obvious) loops to apply Kirchhoff's voltage law (KVL):
Loop 1: 10 V battery and C1 and C3
Loop 2: 10 V battery and C3 and C2.
Capacitors store + q on one plate and -q on the other. In the attached figure the Q's are +ve and are placed on that side of the...
Ideally the institution where you are studying should present an introductory lecture on plagarism, discuss the software they use and possibly give an example.
I think the methods (voltage divide rule) and Thevenin's will give different results. Look at the attached figure:
The voltage divide rule makes the approximation that the current flow into the base is so small that it can be neglected. This is a reasonable approximation since expect the...
