You should use command "hspicegui" instead of "hsgui"
hspicegui is a shell which will setup the enviroment for hsgui then call hsgui.
Good luck !!

So far I see no problem using Redhat 9 for EDA in my system.
For system hang with Screen Saver, it seems caused by one or more of patterns. You could turn off the Screen saver or just pick up few of them from the list and have a simple test, the problem gone after that.
Behavior models are useful in represent analog block, otherwise, we have to verify complex systems in mixed-mode environment, not a good idea for always tight schedule.
Any one tested the performance difference using various memory speed,
DDR 266, 333, and 400 in normal & dual channel.
Wondering bigger memory bandwidth help or not.
Could someone provide me suggestion about performance diff. between Intel 2.4GC + dual DDR 512MB and XP 2500+ with the same memory.
My target applications are analog and mixed-mode simulation.
Linuxboy :
Do you think it could be faster using 512MB or 1GB with dual DDR ?
I'm curious about the performance with more data bandwidth, like dual channel DDR 400.
Analog design automation
I just read a article on PlanetAnalog (www.planetanalog.com) about a company called "Analog design automation" & it's analog optimization software.
Looks pretty cool & useful tool for analog design engineers.
Wondering anyone in the forum could share his/her experience...
Cin :
I'd like to suggest you use Red Hat 9.0 or latter, since you have too much
fancy stuffs. Though 7.2 is stable as others say, 9.0 works without problem at least for me. You should be happy with a Raedon card, it'll have extra trouble setting Nvidia new cards in Linux.
Another thought...
IC5 will search the working directory first, if there is no cds.lib, your
home directory will be searched, if there is still no cds.lib, the one under
IC5 root will be used.
