DC-DC converter and his capacitor filters

Hi! goldsmith Thanks for the suggestion, but the film capacitors I found are much more expensive (50x), probably because all the design is smd. I managed to have a decent temperature now in the converter, the problem was not the power dissipated by the IC but the inductor, seems like we where...

DC-DC converter and his capacitor filters

hi! I'm making a buck-boost converter with three parts: +12V, +5V and -12V (all at 1A), right now it's working but I want to increase the efficiency, particularly in the negative side where the measurements show 84% at 1A and the IC wants to rise up to 100ºC+ in this one, for the output...

how to make square and pwm from 741 chip?

you can also feed some voltage into the v(-) terminal of your circuit (through a resistor) and get some PWM too

[SOLVED] Positive LDO is (self) destroyed when the output is shorted against negative rail.

Great! I was all the time thinking in a way to protect 'from the positive side perspective' but forcing to be the negative side the one who cuts the energy flow can be a better way. I will try it. Thanks!

[SOLVED] Positive LDO is (self) destroyed when the output is shorted against negative rail.

hi! I making a dual power supply (+-12V) with a pair of DC-DC converters taking feed from 18V brick. The positive side regulates with a L7987 to 13V and a LDL212 to 12V, I added a bit more of protection with a resistor (1ohm on the test, planed 0.3 later) in series with the LDO, differentiator...
