    Ok I found bulb for 6V lantern so its actually 4.8V 300mA, it charged batteries all the way up and nothing got too warm, bulb is a little dim at all times, at full volume bulb brightens a bit when theres a loud noise like when WWV hits top of the minute. Looks good to me........

    identifying SMD capacitors?

    Ok thanks. Capacitor was near the front end of receiver, I thot a 103 would work didnt have one, tried a 104 it worked but reception was a bit weak, so tried 102 and reception was normal.

    Hi When i was fixing my radio I had to replace SMD capacitor with a ceramic disk capacitor. The SMD capacitor was dark brown, some others were light brown, some were white. Is there a color code for their value? :?:

    Re: Question about a PCB Try sanding it with 120 grit sandpaper if that works then use 180 or 220 grit so it does not make scratch marks. Try acetone on the printing that will take the ink off, but watch the acetone dont eat the board.
