I am new with scripting HFSS12. I wrote a script using the HFSS script pdf file and it was successful except 3 things:
1) I can not import a 3D object (stl file). My code for this part is as follows:

I want to find the radar cross section for an object. I set the excitation to a planewave excitation but the problem is that I do not know where I should put it.
Should it be in the far field or near field of the object. Does this incident field impact the RCS?

Hi all,
I should simulate an irregular 3D shape in HFSS. I generated the (x,y,z) coordinate of all the edges in Matlab and I have the figure. I can not generate the figure in HFSS and I need to use this figure.
Does anybody by any chance know how to do this?

I want to set up a link between PLC and Matlab/Simulink or Labview. I searched for the link and I found the OPC server solution. I have a RSLinx Lite software from Rockwell. I wonder if I can use it as an OPC server?
