magic tee hfss
Hi,
I've built the HFSS example of Magic Tee. I was checking the phase information. Surprisingly I'm getting exactly contradictory results.
The phase at the Co-linear ports (2 & 4) is out-of-phase when driven by the Sigma port (3) and the phase at the co-linear...
Re: Meander-Line Antenna from IEEE paper - Simulation Proble
Thanks Shameem. It was really helpful... I'll try tweaking the antenna... I'm getting a really low gain (-10 dBi) right now. Seems awful for a microstrip patch antenna.
Thanks,

Re: Why my stimulation result is a curve line
For starters, your radiation boundaries need to be atleast quarter wavelength above the patch antenna.
Also what is Sub3 in your simulation file???
Re: Antenna semulator GNEC
I believe GNEC can solve mostly wire-antennas effectively. Its a pretty useful software tool we used back in school.

Hi Shameem,
I did try sweeping over Substrate Thickness and the arm lengths and widths... Nothing seems to work. I wonder how they could get it to work when its not even simulating correctly. I mean its not even close to the simulated results.
Any further thoughts on...
Hi drasko,
Both the return loss and the gain don't match!! I don't know how to down-convert HFSSv10 to HFSSv9.. if there is way to do it that is.
Its a pretty simple geometry actually. If you can build it in HFSSv9 and see if it works, it would be of a great help.
Thanks,
-Prakash
