thankx much it's really informative all that you wrote there is question can i use it as serial to USB adapter & how can I found Tx Rx through this it's complete circut with six wires as blue orange green yellow and white

thanks for all the replies they were really helpfull the problem is u can provide extra ampare to +5v but what about the speed is there any circut besided PCVI or pcmcia card to make simple adjustment to converet 1.1 usb to usb 2.0

I have recently bought 845GLVA main board the problem is the onboard sound card is not working I can't see it in Bios setup, Aslo if any one could help to fix this problem plz let me know
