cadence problem encountered during simulation
I actually have problems running spectre too. I know how to run hspice in Cadence, but can someone please tell me how to set up for spectre simulation? Thanks!

Razavi's book explains phase noise well. Leeson's equation is another resource to look into for LTI phase noise model. Hajimir's LTV phase noise model is another good model to look into.
+basics of flat band theory in semiconductor
Semiconductor is very important b/c of the solid-state physics behind it. Practically all electronics that we use everyday is made from semiconductor!!
