You have a lot of simulation templates in ADS and simulation is much faster in ADS. You can design and test your schematic in less time. I think it is ease of use. In order to perform layout cadence would be the best resource. You can know alot of things while simulating the circuit in ADS.
Hi when I tried to install I had the same problem. I changed my OS to Slackware 12.1. It is amazing distruibution and I had no problem. Everything worked fine. Just a couple of lib files need to be updated but it works well...
