    maybe it is not suitable for using spartan 3 starter kit. if you need compute the weights for antennas, you should use some fpga chips more powerful.

    Re: matlab to vhdl it is not suitable for hardware design using tools for matlab to vhdl. although there is some tools to do it. hardware design is completely different from arithmetic research.

    raised cosine filter realize if you can got the ipcore of fir then you can set the coefficents to what you got from matlab,which you should quantized to fixed point numbers. then every thing is ok! if not you should do yourelf!

    Re: Negative Frequency i think the Negative Frequency maybe used for doppler frequency for the opposition speed!

    damps gnuradio I think you can use cordic arithmetic! it is easy to implement it with FPGAs!
