    thanx Brian for your help.. what i found is, that there is a voltage difference between the two signals.. monochrome = 0.3Vpp coloured = 1Vpp should i go for envelope detection or some other technique ??

    i suggest that u may use a small microcontroller and read the PWM signal and then u can control the LEDs. u can set any threshold voltage level for each LED separately.
