    confused about sample rates

Hi, I am now really confused. With reference to the reply below " on the other hand, you were willing to work with a slighlty reduced bandwidth and sample rate of 125S/s, then you could use a PicoScope 5442A." The 5442A is spec'ed at up to 1GS/s real time sampling, even using 4 channels...

Sample rate of a 50hz signal

We only need to take a few readings say 5 minutes worth. The G force is proportional to voltage out of the accelerometer. we just need to capture a few spikes in the xy z direction

Sample rate of a 50hz signal

Thank you for your advice, most data loggers seem to have a sample rate of around 720ms/sample (https://www.picotech.com/products/data-logger) which I'm guessing would be too slow?

Sample rate of a 50hz signal

Hi I am measuring the G force from a jack hammer using an accelerometer . This gives a voltage output proportional to the force. The Jack hammer runs at 50hz . Does this mean to collect all the info I need a sample rate of 10ms. ie 2x 50hz. I've had a look at some data loggers but ones that go...

Cabling used to wire a Safety relay circuit in cabinate

I know it has to be tri rated, I was just wondering was was best/normal practice

Cabling used to wire a Safety relay circuit in cabinate

Hi I need to wire a safety relay circuit in a cabinate. I am wondering what is the normal type of cable used? . I'm thinking of using 4 core 0.22mm cabling or is there a standard that is normally used?

fit single phase transformer to 3 phase system.

Hi I have a 3 phase system with no neutral. I have approx 415v between phases. Can I fit a single phase transformer across two phases to get my 115v single phase output? I want to connect this to 115Vac PSU with a 24Vdc output.

    Din rail Optocoupler

The data sheet isn't actually very clear **broken link removed**. It states a nominal control current of 7ma . It doesn't mention a urrent limiting resistor anywere and the schematic drawings don't have one either

    Din rail Optocoupler

Hi, I need to isolate a couple of inputs using a din rail optocoupler. My question is I assume I need to fit series resistor to the input of the opto as you would with a standard pcb opto , what is the normal way of fitting a resistor to a din rail mounted opto ?

    control a 110VAC Hydraulic Solenoid

i have managed to get the solenoids switched fromm 110vac to 24v dc much safer

    110v ac solenoid energize time

Another solenoid question, If I have 110Vac solenoid value can I power it from 115Vac transformer and can I keep it energized for a reasonable amount of time say a few hours or will it get too hot and the coil burn out

    control a 110VAC Hydraulic Solenoid

I have 110Vac Solenoid that I need to open and close. The simplest way I can think of is having the neutral permanently wire witht the live going through a set of relay contacts. I can then control the solenoid using a 24vdc signal on the 24v dc coil of the relay. Is this the normal way that it...

    3phase power question

I believe I can use a 400v transformer across two phases. It's only for a 1A power supply so I don't think this should be a problem.

    3phase power question

After looking at the 3 phase connections in a few factories the 3 phase connections appear to be 4 pins 3 phases and an earth line. With this configuration how can i connect up a single phase 240v ish psu???
