i m actually measuring ac current (0-3A) i m using a shunt resistor,bridge rectifier,filter circuit and a zener diod.actually i want
to convert the ac current to dc using rectifier and filter circuit before feeding into pic.zener diod is used to is used to stop
voltage surges
plz guide me
i want to measure ac current using pic microcontroller....does i need electric isolation b/w ac current and pic?? and why??if i a use a zener doid to limit voltage surges.does it serve the purpose
when u multiply rms values it is actually the apparent power which is the vector-sum of real and reactive powers.
real power=Vrms*Irms*cos(theta)
reactive power=Vrms*Irms*sin(theta)

but the prob of vswr still persists and i am not making planar lpda rather i am using structure based lpda(2 booms)
so how can i reduce vswr .......does location of connector also have an affect on vswr.
i am developing lpda of 1-3 ghz and i am using tau=0.942 for gain=10 dbi but when i simulate it in hfss i get a very high vswr....also the gain is low in 1-1.5 ghz(about 3-4db) and from 2.75-3ghz(about 7-8 db)......how can i reduce vswr and increase gain.......furthermore i am using n-type...
thanks ferdows
but the prob is that i am designing lpda with 2 booms and i have to give feed like real environment . i have to use coaxial cable and n type female connector .the requirement is that the n type emale connector will be connected to antenna an the coaxial cable will be connected to...
i am designing a log periodic dipole array antenna (not planar) with 1 to 3 GHz operating frequency vswr<1.6 and gain>10 dbi
actually i am having the problem of feeding the antenna.
can anyone help me with some model of LPDA so that i can understand how to feed .plllllllzzz its urgent
In this project i have to monitor the electric loads(appliances/end devices) in a room using current and voltage sensors at the main power supply of the room.I have to display ON/OFF states of the applliances and also the power consumption of each load on a display.i am using pic micro controller.
i want to measure 220V ac voltage and 5-15A current using pic.for this i have to convert the voltage to 5V using a transformer.I need help in choosing a suitable transformer and other components that may be required.
