    Hmmm this is getting little complicated :) is there a way to upload data ( or program it ) direly from usb to PIC ? instead going to such conversion from rs232 to usb something like this ( it uses Ft232RQ) https://www.picaxe.com/docs/axe027.pdf ( schematics at last page 16)

    Thanks for quick answer ! few noob questions - for these two they use 16f series can i use it for pic18F2550 and/or pic18F4550 ? JDM With External Power - Some Help Needed pic serail programmer - is it good idea to use usb to rs232 converter ( lack of serial port ) ?
