    How to analyze the output voltage of this potesiometer schematic?

    I am confuse how to analyze the output voltage of this schematic. do you know how much the out voltage if the potensiometer turn from 0% to 100%?. I've tried to simulate it in Electronic Workbench. and the result for 0% potensiometer turn is 5 Volt, for 50% is 3.32 Volt. How could it be 5 Volt...

    I think it is no problem using 150uH inductor but we must add the 2000 uF capacitor not 1000 like the schematic I use here..

    I have built my own power supply with lm2576 adj. & 3 Amp max load.. but it can't drive load current until 3 Amp max.. When I connect the 10 ohm resistor with 30 Vdc supply from the regulator.. it drops until 18 Volt.. and the load current becomes 1.8 Amp.. Why is it happen? it properly can...

    Okay, I want to built a short circuit protector in the power supply.. if I used a relay controlled by mikrocontroller to avoid the short circuit beetwen my power supply an the load by switch the connection off.. what do you think? is that ok?

    thank you karthickb3e, I plan to build a power supply with it.. lm2576 has 3A max. output right? so I want to increase it to max.5A with some transistor circuit. so, I need 5A transformer.. about the max output current, why it could depends on load? how?
