[SOLVED] Designing a 2KW Pure Sine wave inverter

Hi Im trying to design a 2 Kilowatt power inverter to be used for a solar system, I've designed and built a 150 watt modified sine wave inverter before, but i know a 2 KW is different. Can someone help direct me in the right direction, or place to look for designs and read more about it, or...

    [SOLVED] IRS2453D H-Bridge Driver problem

thanks man! connecting SD to ground solved the problem!

    [SOLVED] IRS2453D H-Bridge Driver problem

Hi all, I'm trying to invert 230V dc i have from a DC-DC converter to a modified sine wave, im using IRS2453D to drive the bridge, I need the output to be at 50Hz, so according to the equation they have in the datasheet page 13 I calculated the RT, with CT being 10 nF, the problem im having is...

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

it turned out, the MOSFET was burned out, I had it initially in reverse, so it was burned and when I put it the right way it wasnt working, and the transformer was saturating, so I changed the MOSFET and changed the frequency and it works now!! Thanks all for the help!!

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

I've tested the mosfet using a simple circuit, connecting the drain to 12V via a 1K resister, source to ground, and gate to PWM output of a 3525 chip via 22R, I applied a 20KHz PWM to the gate and I got VGS and VDS as shown below, I changed the mosfet and I got VDS shown in figure 3, then tried...

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

I've tried this, I can see the problem, the fet switchs on but never switchs off, how can I fixed this?

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

PWM 20 KHz, 50% duty cycle Transformer is a EC 28 (12V/230V) I dont know the inductance or L/R because I had to take out of an old PCB board the resister connecting the source to the shutdown pin is 1K ohms, the one connecting the source to ground is 1 ohm

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

I have attached part of the schematic, the two mosfets are connected to a centre tapped transformer, the gate is connected to a 3525 IC output https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/5632654600_1364241960.png

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

Im Measuring Vgs and Vds right, Vgs is normal! Ive tried using different PWM frequencies and different MOSFET but still got the same problem

    [SOLVED] Power MoSFET Drain-Source Voltage

Hi, Im Driving two power MOSFETs (stp36nf06) using a SG3525ANG with a gate resistor, when I measure the Gate-Source voltage using the oscilloscope I get a perfect PWM of a peak-peak of 12V, but when I tried to measure the Drain-Source voltage I got a flat DC line at 12V with small spikes at the...

Can a Y capacitor be used as a instead of a ceramic capacitor?

Hi I'm trying to finish a project im working on, and im out of the normal 0.1 nF ceramic capacitors, I have Y2 0.1 nF capacitors, will these do the same job as the ceramic ones? I know its sounds a bit stupid, but I dont want to risk it! Thanks

    push-pull transformer

Hi, Im designing a DC to DC converter using a push pull topology, I know I need a centre tapped ferrite core transformer connected to two power mosfets to get a higher output voltage! the problem is I cant find such a transformer on the market! is it ok if I use a flyback transformer instead...

    Power MOSFET Problem

im trying to connect the 2 nmos mosfets to a centre tapped transformer as part of the DC to DC push pull topology, i connected the drains to the transformer, the sources to ground and the gates to complementary PWMs shouldnt this work and give a higher voltage at the output of the transformer?

    Power MOSFET Problem

would the voltage out of the drain be enough for the transformer to boost the voltage?

    Power MOSFET Problem

yeah! I connected the drain to ground! now I connected it to vcc i got 5v out!! this means that the FET is working right? but if connect the PWM directly I dont get any output! so I need a gate driver?! I tried using a signal generator to get the PWM at 100KHz and 11V connected to the gate...
