Very useful link.. Thank you!.
Unfortunately nothing is printed on that motor... but I managed to find that this motor is 12v, 0.16A, 1.8 degree, 5wire unipolar... and equivalent to popular astrosyn Y129. https://canada.newark.com/astrosyn/129/stepper-motor-1-8deg-12v/dp/83K9162
Please tell...
Hi, I feel that the cost of character LCDs being sold in sparkfun and other stores are costly. I can get the old mobile LCDs / calculator LCDs at very cheap prices.. Infact, many cheap new mobiles itself cost less than those LCDs being sold in electronic stores.
1. Is it easy to use a mobile...
Thank you. I am able to test this stepper motor and its working good :-) Is there any way I can identify the model or limiation/feature like what is the maximum current / voltage it needed etc?
Hi, I bought a stepper motor but there is no make/model name printed on it. I would like to check whether that motor is working or not.. Please tell me if there is any easy way to test that.
There is 5 wire in it.. it means that is unipolar right? And is there a way to know the model number or...
Hi, I got a sensor but unable to identify what it is exactly. The words etched on it is "TK1 649 TFM 5380". This is in black color with 3 pins. Googling is not much helpful. Please tell me if you have any idea.
Update:
Heres a photo that I found online...
Getavinks & Albert22.. Thank You guys!! We can test as getavinks said by referring the pdf sheet given by Albert22. Here is the summary of what they suggested ( will help novice like me :grin: )
There will be 12 pins in a 7 segment * 4 digit display. In which pin 6 controls the 4th digit, pin 8...
Hi, I got two 7 segment (scored from what looks like a frequency counter circuit ) - 4 digit display like the one in the below link.

It looks like 8.8.8.8 Model No: LTC5723G-01
Is there any quick way to test whether it...
Hi, I am testing ohms law with resistors in serial connection like below:
V = 8 ( from 9 v battery )
R1 = 1k
R2 = 3k
When testing this in a bread-board, Voltage correctly divides ( ie 6V at R2 and 2V at R1 ). But the R ( which supposed to be R1+R2 = 4k ) is not verifying when the circuit is on...
Very helpful, thanks a lot @RetroTechie :smile:

Hi Marvel_tronix, Welcome to Edaboard and thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I am starting with "The Art of Electronics"..lets see how it goes.
Hi, I am new to electronics (hobbyist)...pls give me your guidance in the below:
1. What should be the roadmap, what books to read, what to practice in which order.. to have deep understanding of everything I do with electronics.. My focus is to have true, in-depth understanding of electronics...
