How to measure phase noise in ADS?

Re: Phase noise in ADS Hi Sadegh.j, Harmonic Ballance simulatiom will solve your problem. In the attached file, go to ch3. I think this is what you are lookin for. Hope it helps,

What does the phase of S11 mean?

Re: S11 's Problems it is the phase angle of return loss of one-port or two-port network referenced to input of network good luck,

    RF Power Amplifier [hlp]

Hi no one, The main concern in the beginning of a power amplifier design is efficiency vs. linearity of the system. If your system is linear, and you want to design a linear power amplifier, you will loose from efficiency and vice versa. Then spurious performance, 1 db compression point, BW...

RF choke inductor for 500 MHz

Hi winglj, you can look at Murata. It has good ferrite beads for high frequencies. I'm posting you the datasheet catalog.

Problem with frequency output and power level of ADF 4360 PLL

problems with adf4360 we use ADF 4360-2 after a 100MHZ local oscillator. We can program the PLL we check it. However we suppose to get 2 GHZ at the output with a power level of -6-0 dbm and we can't get it. There is only a suppor around 2.2 GHZ with a low power level. Thanks,

Problem with frequency output and power level of ADF 4360 PLL

Hi all, Is there anyone whom had worked with this chip? We have serious programming problems; can't get the right frequenct output and the power level. Please contact me if you have any suggestions. Thanks and best regards,

Question about the ferrite beads we use as RF chokes at DC power lines

Hi all, I want to ask a question about the ferrite beads we use as rf chokes at dc power lines. These chokes should be open circuit for ac signals. However, I coulnd't get this feeling when i looked through the datasheet for chip ferrite beads of muRata. At resonances the impedance of the choke...

    To get S-parameters using HFSS

In the external ports use waveport, in the internal ports (ports on the microstrip) use lumped ports. Add a solution setup to your analysis and then make a validation check. Finally select analyze all and then open results and select what kind of a data or polt you want to get.

    HFSS and assigning s-parameters?!

Hi all, Is there a way to assign s parameters to the the ports of hfss? I mean if we want to simulate a a complete microstrip structure, can we assign s parameters to the internal ports, such as where a component is going to be put, and then get the overall s parameters (only in between the...

    "voltage gain" Vs "power gain"

voltage power gain biff44: S parameters based on the ratios of reflected/incident power waves and transmitted/incident power waves; an's and bn's So at this case they are based on power! But the results gives the forward and reverse voltage gains and reflection coefficients!

    "voltage gain" Vs "power gain"

scattering parameters power or voltage Hi Ic_fan, At Rf frequencies power gain is used. The main reason is at this frequency range reflections (both current and voltage) become to occur in the transmission lines. So, characterization of the circuit is done by s-parameters. And s-parameters are...
