A circuit for current regulation using a Digipot

Hello all. I need a power supply where I can regulate current (0-10 Amps), and since I want the regulation to come from a microcontroller, i need to use a digipot (cant think of another option)... Any of you guys have a schematic or a design I can use? Can a digipot handle more than 1 amp (up...

Controlling 2 Steppers with only 4 lines of a PORT

Thanks! Well, to my knowledge, the L297 combined with L298 will provide the pulses required for the stepper, in the order from 1 to 4. Of course, this only works for steppers that only require one pulse at a time, but what about steppers like this one that require 2 pulses at a time...

Controlling 2 Steppers with only 4 lines of a PORT

l297 l6203 Yet another question, hope it doesnt bother you. I'm using two stepper motors, the pulses needed for making the stepper work are given by the microcontroller. But, with four lines of each stepper, using two steppers will occupy a whole port (8 bits). Is there any way that i can...

    SCK problems with Max6675 using a PIC18F458

pic18f458+max6675 Hello all! I'm trying to generate a Clock signal from a PIC18F458 for a MAX6675 driver. I'm using a 10MHz crystal, and in the MAX6675 datasheet it says that I need a frequency of 4.3 Mhz. Now, the Fosc/4, Fosc/16 and Fosc/64 wont work.... and unfortunately, the TMR2 output/2...

    Simple PWM signal in 18F458

Hello all... I'm a newbie when it comes to programming and PICs, but I'm starting to love this... But my main problem is to interpret algorithms in order to write a code... And, I'm trying to write a code to get a PWM signal, 100uS period, 40% Duty Cycle, and according to the algorithm in...

Acid Concentration Sensor compatible with a PIC

What I meant by PIC compatible was that I...... needed some PIC related title for this post :p Anyhoo thanks for the info, I will look into it... any more ideas?

Acid Concentration Sensor compatible with a PIC

Hello all... I've got in my hands a project about using a microcontroller (a PIC18F458), for controlling the anodizing process (aluminium treatment)... This process requires the aluminium to be fully sumerged in sulfuric acid, at aproximately 77ºF (25ºC), and passing a considerably amount of...

    8088 Minimum System Design

minimum system 8088 Hello all. For a school project, I am building a minimum system using the 8088 microprocessor. I already have a few designs and schematics, but the thing is, that I dont have the monitor program needed for the minimum system. I would truly aprecciate if someone around here...
