    POLL: Nios vs. Microblaze

microblaze from the scratch I have used several evaluationboards and every board had its errors. If you are using an evaluationboard then I suggest you to contact your FAE. For me this was the only way to make things work. Good luck. Dreeke

Help me choose a sensor for a water flow meter

Re: flow meter for water Of course Sush, you are right about the NTC. I have been working too long with video... With a bit of detail: The project was to measure heatflow through a radiator. The temperature at the entry point and at the exit are measured with I think it was a LM35 heat sensor...

Help me choose a sensor for a water flow meter

Re: flow meter for water I have made such an application at school several years ago with a ntsc which was heated up and cooled down with the flow. The higher the flow, the more the ntsc is cooled down. The water temperature was also measured with an integrated temp sensor because the water...

We are trying to use a commercial compactflashcard instead of an industrial in our application (connected to a linux system). The industrial type works perfectly, but with the commercial one we can't even read out the manufacturer. Can anyone help us here? :?:

    POLL: Nios vs. Microblaze

nios microblaze Hi, I use BOTH Nios and Microblaze. I started out with Nios. This was a really easy job. The tools and wizzards are good. Attaching your own hardware to Nios is extremely easy: you just select the interfacing which fits best from within the wizzard. Writing and debugging...

how to simulate a SDRAM model with my SDRAM controller?

If your controller is VHDL then try to find a VHDL sdram model (try Micron website). Next step is to create a testbench where you connect your controller to the sdram. I can advise you to simulate with Modelsim, it is easier and much faster then simulating with Quartus. This was also suggested...

    SL811S/T USB controller help

Hi, I have tested this component. I have found a schematic in the documentation of the devellopmentkit. But if you are free to choose, the EZ-USB components are easier to use, cheaper and you don't have to write your own device driver for the pc side. Dreeke :)
