So far, so good. I haven't had time to dig deep into the program yet but one positive right off the bat was I was able to go to the cadsoft website and download the program, then immediately download their tutorial and manual in a manner of minutes without any hassles of providing all my...
I have to admit you make a good point. I'm not an Eagle user, but often hear the same comments, and looking at some example designs done in Eagle, I jumped to the conclusion that it's not a "serious program". But reading here, and other places, the program has a large user base and that can't...
I have givin Eagle a good look and honestly, it does seem best suited for hobbyists or students, and there is nothing wrong with that. A power user could very well do a fairly sophisticated design, but the more powerful programs definitely help do a more efficient design. Would an Eagle user...
Thank you for posting. If you do some google searches, you can find a much newer one for version 16.2 AND including "Book2" the advanced editing class.
I never had any luck with the Altium autorouter and after seeing what a real autorouter looks like, Altium should dump the one they have and start over with a new one from scratch. Reading the official Altium Forums, you can see users complaining for years about the awful autorouter. Maybe...
Not sure if this will help you but one option is to just import as DXF and assign to the appropriate layer of your design and don't forget to assign a net. As you may already know Altium isn't a strong tool for RF but there are workarounds by doing a dxf import.
There are actually two types of eye diagrams: the usual digital eye diagram and there is also a I-Q eye diagram. It sounds like your looking for the digital eye diagram. ADS has some nice tools for this. I'd be interested to hear what other tools can do this.
Do you mean "where can you get a free copy of the program?" If so, please recheck the terms you agreed to when signing up for this site.
If your a rich person and looking to buy, I believe that program has been replaced with Cr8000. Contact Zuken direct and they'll be happy to help.
Hello,
Does anyone have a semi up-to-date Altium Basic Training Manual? Altium used to have a big 20 chapter manual available for download on their website, but they removed it and now demand paying close to $3,000 USD to take their class to get the equivalent manual for the newer version and...
I was dumb enough to buy one of their "training programs" and was shocked to see the familiar Australian accented "Hi, Marty here ..." Then I went through the rest of the DVD and the whole thing is something I could have just done myself by downloading and burning to a DVD. It's too bad they...
A little word about this "ceda place". Yes, they have a nice website that looks like it has some nice low cost training options. Their so-called "Altium Training" is simply a collection of videos that are freely available from the Altium website, but repackaged and organized onto a DVD. Not...
