Hi guys, Been working on designing a simple single section directional coupler and simulating it in HFSS. However once I get the simulation working the results aren't exactly what i expect. I'm not very experienced in this field of engineering but i'd really appreciate it if you could help me to...
I've been trying to design a coupled mircostrip line coupler with only 2 ports. I know all about the Even and Odd modes and the rules that i need to satisfy to achieve the best coupling but i couldn't find any sources on how to actually design and construct the line. I have build the line in...
Hi eraste,
Thanks for your reply, this maybe a silly question but how would i go about finding those modes? I already tried to solve my sphere in HFSS eigenmode however the simulation never solved since it ran for over 24 hours.
Thanks again.
This is a research based project where i'm trying to use a metallic sphere to filter a signal between two coupled microstrip lines. When i Plot the s-parameters i can see a resonance happening at around 21GHz on the S2:1 parameters, however the S1:1 parameters are showing that most of the signal...
Working on trying to replicate the results in a paper, however i have been so far unsuccessful to fully do so. I know authors will sometimes leave out important pieces of information so that someone else can't continue on their work but i need this to help me in my own research. I have been able...
Yes a spherical resonator is what i am trying to achieve. This is a research project that I'm undertaking so not even sure if it will work however I'm still positive it can be done. The sphere will be fabricated externally and keeping it in place on the substrate is still be investigated...
I'm new to HFSS as well as new to microstrips and resonators, however i've been learning fast. My project is to basically design a metallic spherical resonator that is coupled between two microstrip lines. I was unable to find any journal papers that closely resemble this design, since most were...
