Re: linux problem
Try this....
Insert your windows CD and follow the wizard until it asks you to install, at this point choose the option to repair, this option boots the machine in the repair console of microsoft.
Type de administrator password and the prompt should appear. At the command...
Re: TCP UDP port scanner
I don't know if you still looking... Anyway, use this comand from a cmd shell:
netstat
This show network active connections, like tcp and udp ports, the local IP address, the remote IP address and the state of the port.
To see all the ports use the -a swith, to see...
Re: Ring detector
when the telephone rings certains voltages are send from the telephone lines. Once i messured them but it varies from country to country, i suggest you set up an osciloscope and start messuring the signals, then you will have a better idea of how to detect them.
In windows XP only users with administration profile have the right to modify the TCP/IP configuration of the machine.
Simply make a simple user mamber of users group.
Re: wifi(plese help me)
In most cases you can set the a band for ap to ap communitacion, creating a point to point connection and using mac address filtering to avoid other people to connect to your lan. The b o g band use it for attending the clients of the network.
In other words, a band is...
wireless networks research papers
Wireless is always a good topic... In my opinio too good of a topic, almost everyone had studied them, so it will be pretty easy to find information about them... like a full mesh wireless network... i think that would be interesting.
I am currently working in...
Re: cold weather plants
That is a very interesting project... If i may suggest, investigate on environment control systems for data center or things like that, they control humidity and temperature...
About the plants, what about potatoes, as i know they grow in the highlands, cold weather and...
I think solution 2 is better. Why only 10.3 to 13V input? where does this input comes from?
4.9v isn't as good as 5v? most IC will assume 4.9 as "1" so, what's the bg deal there?
Well, let's see...
- You will have to know the regulation of your country for radio communications and the bands that are free to use along with themaximun power you can radiate. With that information you can deside on a technology to use. Most countries allow IEEE 802.11 so i think this is the...
nikhilele, the problem there is that you are regulating from 10 to 13 V to 5V, the regulator looses performance when the input voltaje is to high from the output voltage, you loose power on this manner because the power the regulator have to support all the power... try lowering your 10 to 13V...
Ok, here is what i would do...
1) Try giving 777 permission to the path where your ntfs is mounted.
2) Disable SElinux, the cnfiguration file should be located at "/etc/selinux/conf" here change the SELINUX=Enable to Disable and reboot.
Let me know how it went.
Hi buts101
If i were you i would be to confy about the VSAT solutions it ould be just to expensive and complicated for you if you don't have the support of a larger ISP.
Now, the wireless solutions is the way to go... At least in my opinion...
Now using 802.11 is simpler and very wide range...
Re: Excel help
tgq great ideas... VBA with Excel is a very powerfull tool, i have written some macros myself to help me out on work. I even had one to launch some batch programs and connect to server to get information out of them and process it afterwars.
I think tgq ideas are the way to go.
You could try token ring or some variation of it.
Define who is gonna transmit first the set a period o time to transmit, then the turn to transmit goes to someone else and so on till the whole round is done and starts all over again... I think is the simplest way to go...
You will have to...
