    IE3D - finite substrate

does the finite substrate option work on the trial version.I got a different kind of error that said "dynamic allocation failed" or sumthing like that.

    IE3D - finite substrate

Hey i think mine is an older version. However i was able to export the geometry to FIDELITY(it does the finite substrate beautifully). Thanks a lot !! asimov

    IE3D - finite substrate

Im trying to model a patch antenna on a finite ground and substrate.I followed the manual in creating the finite substrate. But after the meshing when i try and simulate, it gives me an error message. "remove current graph from list remove current graph from list of simulating finite...

    convergence -feko - patch antenna

feko+patch+antenna i figured how to use the control card to define a coaxial port.but am having convergence problem. Is it because of the segment length?? can anyone shed light on this? Thanks..

    Opinions on Feco software

Re: Feco[feko] i did a rectangular patch antenna(infinite ground and infinte substrate) with a coaxial feed and the results between FEKO and IE3D were very similar. I did have problems about defing the port but once you know how to use the control cards i think its very straight forward.

    A question on CADFEKO

how to use cadfeko i think it is possible if the geometry is defined entirely on EDIT FEKO i.e without importing from CAD FEKO.Otherwise i dont think it is possible to edit the variable.

How to define port in feko

the feko online/user manual explains how to define an edge port. The example folder of feko also contains a few examples for an edge fed rectangular patch antenna.

    Coaxial feed in Feko design!

feko koaxial feed hey i just figured out how to give a coaxial feed. First delete any existing meshing, voltage source and port on the CADFEKO.Mesh the geometry and save the file. Then switch to EDIT FEKO , add the A4 control card. - select set source and specify your co-ordinates for the probe...

    Coaxial feed in Feko design!

feko coaxial feed im having the same problem.... i think the A4 card on EDITFEKO models a coaxial port .I tried using that but didnt succeed.Let me know if you have better luck

    convergence -feko - patch antenna

feko convergence hello everyone.. im modeling a rectangular patch antenna with a uslot on an infinite ground plane in FEKO.... however i noticed that the results were different from IE3D for the same geometry. I want to use a coaxial feed but ended up using a wire port in feko. Can anyone tell...
