I'm trying to make a BPSK transceivers,and some friend told me that the receiver need a phase detector.
Where must i put the detector?,and What kind of IC's that i could use to make the detector?,Is it true that Motorolla MC1496 can be made as a phase detector?

I made the modulator using motorola MC1496,when i give this modulator using an analog input,it can be received using conventional AM tuner,but when the input changed to digital signal it can't be returned to its original information.By the way,I'm a student and this...
I try to make a transmitter usinG BPSK,but i had trouble with the receiver,i use an AM receiver to receive the signal,but it can't give the digital output,what should i do with the receiver?.Does anyone have a schematic diagram for the receiver,please?
