It depends on wat part of ECG signal u r interested in segmenting. There r various algorithms for segmenting ECG based on its features....just be specific. . .else search in google :)

can anyone help me in getting materials related to the mathematics behind wavelets..
do reply fast as i am in immediate need of it

a filterbank consists of both analysis and synthesis part....
look for the type of filter bank needed
then u must have an downsampler in the analysis part and some filters as per ur needs
and an exactly opposite filter to that used in analysis part must be used in the...
voice sample rate
the sampling rate i think must be within 300 - 3khz..
if the rate is going to be small then u will get a voice which is expanded...the duration of each sample will increase

u can refer any good wavelet transform book and get to know the mathematical concept of what wavelets are
then u will be able to write programs or implement them.
