it is possible to charge your Lappy with Solar for this you have to make an inverter 12V DC to 220v A.C,,,, :) then use your Laptop's Original charger...... it will works like this

if u didn't use MOC then u have to use a zero crossing detector! MOC series have built in Zero Crossing Setup..... use following circuit...
you have to use Hit and Trial Method to get exact results...... Try to make you program in less lines use less instruction avoid any delay..... better to get data of this sensor using Interrupt.... u know minimum instruction handling time in 1 us so if u use a delay then out put of sensor will...
Best and Cheap is Proteus....... Proteus uses less system resources less in size and easy to operate........
So in my opinion u should have to use proteus..... you can find its full version easily by googling it.....
