Digital Integrated Circuits by Jan M Rabaey and CMOS VLSI design by Neil Weste. These books will provide you with basic understanding about layout. Thought they are not discussed in detail I found it helpful to start with.

Why the sizing of transistors in real world sizing are in the ratio 1.5 : 1 ? The books i refer uses 2:1 ratio for Width of Pmos to Width of Nmos ratio.
