Re: PC motherboards
I have done some mother boards for Intel and IBM. They use Allegro for a long time ago up to now.
Cadence spectra simulation is importance for setup critical nets and everything relates to highspeed design, EMC, EMI, etc. of mother board.
Other bog company use Mentor Board...
mentor and cadence pcb comparison
Hi,
four years ago, I have trained for Mentor Expedition WG 2000.5, at that time it was also very power full tool for high end designs, however. to manage design capture is still a chalenge with me.
It's very impression with Autoactive technology. and now...
allegro pads comparison
expedition is the high end tool for high speed design, difficult to learn but powerfull. auto active technology is very good for dynamic hand routing
hyperlynx 8 tutorials
Thanks for your concern. but I means that, beside the tutorial on line by software. Mentor also have the tranning courses with Lab exercises
It is also means that there are the training docs. this one is specific and easy to practices than tutorial which is very general...

HI,
Actually, follows my experience. You should starting by Orcad Capture for schematic and Pads for layout. In almost cases (not high end and complex structures), this combine can do anything.
After that, you can move to Cadence Allegro and Mentor Expedition WG for the high...
Hi All,
Follow my experience and my opinion: Cadence PSD is The best for High-End PCB Design. I have some designs for Laptop Mother Board P4 with 24 Layers and a lot of constrains ( area Rules, Daisy Chains, Match Length, Macth impedances,.... A lot lot lot rules). The Electrical Contrains...
Re: Really need help
Hi,
For Easy using, I think you should try use the Orcad. It's tutorial is very clearly for self learning. and the Library for footprint also available. but if you need the High_End PCB design, you should move to Allegro or mentor Expedion.
Good Luck

Hi Circuit,
U can start learning the Allegro by the Training tutorial, search in this site, U will find the training materials for Candece PSD 15.0, Its really good for newbi in PCB from basic to advanced ( include simulation by using Cadence SpectraQuest 15.0 ). About your design, I think with...
