manufacturing grid
recently I noticed in my tech file, it stated as follows,
0.001 Database Grid (for 3rd party tools)
0.01 Manufacturing Grid size and snap spacing
what's the difference between database grid and manufacturing grid? how can i set grid in layout then?
thanks...
Re: Is it ok to use the minimum length (i.e 0.18u) in analog
I guess you need to take care of contact size. if DRC requires contact size to be bigger than 0.18um, you cannot use minimum length.
virtuoso snap spacing
but we are using ubuntu for all kinds of techs such as 0.13um, 90nm, 65nm, etc... there is no problem on others, only in 0.13um, is there any settings in system files such as display.drf, .cds.init?
BTW, which system are you using?
virtuoso snap
I tried gravity on, similar result, I cannot move to where I want, and with gravity on, I even cannot draw where I want. any other idea? thanks a lot!
I use ubuntu, and the tool is provided called "recordmydesktop". nice tool...
Re: Reference Voltage
if the resistor ladder is used for reference voltage, I did not see any timing issue as only DC, no AC on it. and once DC and gnd on both sides of resistor ladder, it's done then.
Re: Reference Voltage
my understanding is you have resistor string for resistor ladder, and from each node on resistor string, you have transistor connected as switch followed by large cap. I am thinking if you can try to increase resistors value in your resistor string.
gravity in cadence
I found now I can draw the shape anywhere, but I cannot move the shape anywhere. After I drew a rectangular, I only can move it to bigger snap spacing...
Ex:
X/Y snap spacing 0.02
minor spacing 0.01
major spacing 0.1
I can draw rectangular anywhere on the minor grid, but...
