Convergence failure for crystal oscillator PSS/PNoise sim

hello, i am simulating the crystal oscillator (RLC model) phase noise. I setup pss analysis, use initial current 10uA in inductor model of crystal (19.2MHz), tstab=200n, etc, result=pss not converged, therefore the simulator keep modifying tstab and try again and again.. never converged. I...

    Opamp Gain calculation!

aartdegeus is right, whether the opamp uses single or dual supply don't matter, as long as the supply is big enough that all the transistors works in it's desired region, the opamp should give reasonable gain..

    Topic on Analog IC Design

i personally recommend the David Johns book the most for you. the information in it is brief but wide, should serve you the best.

How to get 102.9Mhz station clearly and get rid of 107.9Mhz?

I want FM selectivity!!! tavakoli is right, with the IF stage implemented, all you have to do is to tune your local oscillator(LO) such that the sum or difference between your (LO) and 102.9MHz lands right on the IF frequency.

    design of integrated circuits

gold kiss is correct, when i took my first analog circuit class at my school, that was roughly the order by which we get into it. trying to solve problem and verifying solutions by simulation along the way can keep it fun and keep you motivated too.. good luck

Bode diagram of closed loop transfer functions

Bode diagrams ? i think another way to think about this is that, in order to design a closed loop system probably, we must know the behavior of the open loop system (bode plot).

    Small Signal Circuit Design

id vs vds small signal edward is right, the small signal model of transistors assume the input signal is small enough such that the characteristics of the transistor does not change. for example, when the input voltage of a transistor is small enough, the transconductance gm remind constant...

What book should a beginner read to learn analog design?

stranger's question i think for beginner, the Ken Martin book is most appropriate. this book covers a wide range of materials but depth remain suitable for beginners. for more indepth information, i personally like the Gray, Hurst, Lewis Mayer book. hope this helps
