I am sorry can you elaborate about this things?
I do not have any divider by N in my PLL and I would like to estimate the frequency of the signal based on estimated phase. I have only phase detector, loop filter and VCO (NCO).
Hi
Assume I have a digital PLL that outputs phase estimate of the reference signal, however I am wondering can I estimate the frequency of reference signal according to the given phase estimate? I know frequency is derivative of phase respect to time but dont we need a operating or center...
Hi
I would like to do know why do we need to do oversampling in a raise cosine filter. What will happen if we do not do oversampling?
I need to know what this oversampling factor does? the higher is better or the lower?
Thanks I know that I already implemented the code. I am wondering if I want to use data acquisition toolbox in Matlab to do the Analog to digital converter or vice versa where should I apply them. For example lets say I multiply my rectangular pulse by carrier should I apply DAC now ?
Hi
I have written Matlab script for BPSK modulation. The way my code works is as follow:
series of 0 and 1----> NRZ data (continuous rectangular pulses with amplitude -1 and 1)--->multiply by carrier----> add noise--> multiply by carrier---> integration--->detection---> Bit Error collection...
Thanks I will post the detail of my system as well. Just one question that I still need to know. What is SNR in the above equation? Since in Matlab we loop through eb/No can I use those values for SNR ? should I convert it by multiplying by data rate and divide by bandwidth?
Thanks.
I plotted BER vs SNR for BPSK modulation in Matlab and I am given bandwidth of channel (bandlimited channel). lets say it is BW1. I would like to find the data rate based on this information. I am using Shannon capacity formula: Therefore
C=BW*log2(1+SNR).
However I wonder for this equation...
Hi
I have seen in different simulations for BER vs SNR under BPSK modulation, the relationship like Rb=2*Fc where Rb is the data rate and Fc is carrier frequency.
Can anyone please tell me what is the justification behind these formulas? How can I relate data rate(bit rate ) to carrier...
