When we say 230V in a domestic AC supply does that value represent?Is it the rms value of the fundamental of that sinasoidal wave or the true rms value of the supply?
IEC standards have defined this but I cannot find it out.
If you know the answer or the standards which define the above...
My project is about analyzing the voltage variations of a domestic AC voltage supply.
The standard rms value is 230 +/- 6%.
So I need to analyze the AC voltage signal and find out when the supply exceeds the given standards.
This device will be fixed to the live and neutral wires...
