    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

Hi I am very new to this topic. Thank you for your patience in advicing. I will look at 802.11a.b. Is wimax, cellular suitable for ad hoc system?I am just exploring all possibility. I do not find any vendors of vanet online. Do you know of any? : ))

    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

Hi, i know that vanet is not a protocol. Because in the first few post, you mention that vehicle to vehicle communication is the latest in vanet. I read that IEEE 802.11p is a standard for vehicle to vehicle communication. Is 802.11a/b/g suitable for vehicle to vehicle communication as well?

    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

Hi, actually i trying to say that that since every vehicle is acting as a node to forward data to another vehicle, isnt it a vehicle to vehicle communication? I thought this is a basic requirement of vanet, why is it the latest technology? I read that 802.11p is used for V2V communication so is...

    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

From wikipedia, "A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network, or VANET, is a technology that uses moving cars as nodes in a network to create a mobile network. VANET turns every participating car into a wireless router or node, allowing cars approximately 100 to 300 metres of each other to connect and, in turn...

    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

thank you ckshivaram. What are the vehicle to vehicle protocol? Can you give me some examples? So using wifi, an ad hoc network including the vehicle to vehicle communication can be established?

    (Vanet) Vehicluar Ad Hoc Network

Hi All, Anyone has any idea how i can set up a simple vehicular ad hoc network ( vanet). What are the equipments required? Would anyone be able to advise? Thank you : )

How does mutaul coupling influence radiation pattern?

How does mutaul coupling influence radiation pattern in patch array? Does it affect other parameters as well?

How to plot radiation pattern with S21 value

Is it using S21 values or what values? how to do get the aplitude using s21 values?

How to plot radiation pattern with S21 value

As topic . Anyone knows how to plot the radiation pattern of a patch antenna using s21 values?

    Micostrip antenna- square or rectangle?

Ya, there is some error in the loss tangent of the substrate. Thanks a lot, that really helps. FR4 is too lossy resulting in the low gain.

    Micostrip antenna- square or rectangle?

i got 5db gain when i simulate the 38.4 x 29.4 antenna patch (FR4)using ADS. But i want to have a circular polarized antenna so i made it square 29.4 x 29.4 with truncated corners, the gain drop to 2 dB. Varying the length on the square patch does not improve the gain much.

    Micostrip antenna- square or rectangle?

anyone knows what is the typical gain for a microstrip antenna? i try simulating a 38 x 29.4mm without truncated corners. The gain is 5.27dB a 29.4 x 29.4mm with truncated corners antenna only has about 2dB... is it that square patch has a lower gain?

    Micostrip antenna- square or rectangle?

Hi All, I am designing a 2.4GHz microstrip antenna. Becasue of the fringing field the patch is designed to be rectangular in shape. However i realised that to have a circular polarised antenna made from truncated corners the patch needs to be in a square shape. However, this would affect the...

Does the feeding method affects how the patch antenna works?

Microstrip Line feed Hi, Does the feeding method affects how the patch antenna works? I have try simulation using ADS momentum. The axial ratio for circular polarized seems to shift by 90 degree for microstrip line feed compared to probe feed.
