i want to compare a image with other images in folder can any body tell me how can i do this??

i am making program which will find edges in RGB image using dizenzo and sobel method but i am getting this error msg in matlab:
"??? Error using ==> mpower
Both operands must be scalar.
Error in ==> pro at 27
gxx = [(abs(re))^2 + (abs(ge))^2 +(abs(be)^2)];"

i have separated the RGB components from an RGB image and apply sobel and dezenzo method on one of them now i want to rejoin these R, G, B image to make a RGB image again???

and simulink is giving this error:
