So since at the 'cross over point' there is a virtual open on the slot side of the substrate, there's a short at the end of the slot right? So that means the circular slot is an inductive loading, right?
Some Vivaldi antennas use a circular slot at the end of the slotline while some don't. I know that a simple rectangular slot represent an inductive loading. But what type of loading is a circular slot that ends on a rectangular slotline?
Is that possible? Can u temme what taper profile equation should i use? I am a little clueless. This looks like a beautiful antenna but is quite new, so there's lack of enough material for it.
Is it possible to get a free fully functional student version of HFSS. I need it for my final year project design. I'v to design and fabricate a simple vivaldi antenna. We have IE3D at our college. But I'v been unsuccessful in making the exponential flare in IE3D.
