Sorry for the little diversion from the main topic, I have two questions that I would like to ask while we are still in IP3 measurement topic.
1. What role does the IP3 of the measurement setup plays in the actual IP3 measurement?
For instance: If I want to measure a DUT with 30dBm O/P IP3, will...
Not sure if S Parameter data alone is sufficient to fit curves. I think one needs more measured data like ESR.. Check out the MTT; I can look something up, if you want.
Hi
If you are looking for a choke that works from 1M to all the way upto 3G- then one way I have seen people do that is connecting inductors in series such that each one of them work in separate bands (min impedance). To elaborate, lets say you have three inductors (L1, L2, L3) in series L1...
Try using a mesh density of 20cells per wavelength (for the highest frequency). Do check using higher mesh densities. If you are satisfied with the accuracy you are all set. :)
If you have 2005A try using thick conductor simulation. It is supposed to increase accuracy.
inductor formula on crgo core
Hello
Never had the chance to work with bobbin type cores, so far. For toroidal cores-the normal toroidal formula for inductance would give you the first cut values. But with permeability tolerance that wouldnt be a great idea. So I would measure and check for...
edaboard meshing failure
Hello
Just curious here.
What sort of structure are you simulating that requires so much memory?
I have simulated 12 layer LTCC pcb without much of a problem.
I assume either you have a very large layout of a very intricate/complex layout.
If so, I have the following...
There is no straight forward answer to it.
I would say it all depends on the bandwidth required and how your load varies in this bandwidth.
Practically, 30dB is a very good RL to be with, but if you get a RL of 25dB again one cant be sure if its because of the load or bad line.
Again on the IL...
Re: Help on IE3D and ADS
Let me first check if I got your question correct.
You have an issue in getting IE3D sim into ADS. Is that right?
If so, then I would like to know what data formats does IE3D allows export of sim data? S2P is generally accepted one.
If you have that option, you can...
Hello
I want to implement a Bandpass filter with a top C config using ceramic resonators.
The design specs are 1700MHz center frequency, with a bandwidth of 60MHz.
The question I have is regarding the design of coupling PCB. As the C values are very small, I tried using overlapped layers on a...
