I SOLVED it by connecting SENSOR resistor ground to power supply negative terminal with a thick wire. Previously, Sensor resistor ground was connected to circuit with a thin wire.
But, now L297 output (ABCD) keeps high and keeps all 4 mosfets on, so motor does not move.
If I disconnect motor...
HI,
I am using L297 schematic as shown in first post. I tried transistor C828A (instead of 7408) to drive 4 mosfets (IRFZ44) as shown in following image described in this article:
BUT, after connecting unipolar stepper and turning on power supply (ATX), both SENSE resistors turns very much...
Dear Sir,
Yes, there are darlington transistors, but I want to use Mosfets. 7804 in this circuit is AND gate IC, but it can only provide 5.25V to Mosfet-gates that my be not enough to make them on fully. That is why I am asking about OP amps or any other option.
I want to use it for same...
Mistake in drawing: Power is supplied to Drain of PMosfets and Source of Pmosfets are connected to Drain of Nmosfets.
Correction: Power should be supplied to Source of PMosfets and Drain of Pmosfets should be connected to Drain of Nmosfets.
Is it right?
What are these two problems and how to...
I want to drive my bipolar stepper motor at higher amp, I got the tip to use "high side h bridge driver" for N-Mosfets. I googled about "high side h bridge driver". But could not find any. Please suggest me some "high side h bridge driver" to run at 15 volt.
As I have shown in my above post, that at 12V I just could be able to get speed of 80mm/minute (133 full steps per mm). When I tried to increase the frequency, then motor started missing the steps (I think due to low torque ~ low current).
I think motor can start working at higher frequency if...
I don't know in depth and just read on forums, that speed is based on voltage and torque is based on current.
Let say, I run this stepper on 12volt, then do I only need to increase or decrease the current to control the torque and speed?
If it is, then I think I should use L298,97 driver with...
Thanks for expert reply.
Unfortunately, there is not any label on motor. I just measured the resistance.
I only want to run it at 40-48volt to achieve max speed.
Last time, i tested this motor with L297,98 driver at 12volt. Using mach3, the max speed was 80mm/minute (133 full steps per mm)...
I want to drive my bip-stepper with max 48volt and 15amp, so I found the driver as shown in attached image. Please show your expert comment, if it is actually useful for my application. You can suggest any change or another driver.
My motor:
Bipolar 3-ohm wind-resistance (weight 4kg)

microcontroler 8051
I do not start studing 8051 yet and want to start. I think to srart it with Assembly language is not easy and C language is easy for 8051 pregramming. Please recommend me any book for 8051 with C language.
