I am not sure about the WiFi module that you are using. But the one i used in my project allows me to integrate my own TCP/IP stack over the WLAN driver provided by them.
So i think you can use your own TCP/IP stack.

With WiFi you can transmit and receive any kind of data and there are plenty of cheap WiFi options available in the market now days. You can google for such kind of Wifi solution. and may be you can also check WHZ4178.

you may get increase CPU speed by changing registers. Have a look at Samsung S3C2440 datasheet page 255 (7-21), the onboard quartz is a 12MHz one.
It should be possible to set clock speed at 532MHz with a 12MHz input quartz by setting MDIV to 0x7D, PDIV=1 and SDIV=1.
