Re: Poles and Zero
Thanks naalald,
But i am still confused.
In op-amp we use pole splitting to split dominant and non dominant poles. If thats not done then ringing or oscillation can be seen in the output. I presume the reason as gain tending to infinity.
In this case the pole actually...
Hi all,
I guess i have a very foolish question.
We have all learned that poles and zeros are contributed by capacitor either parasitic or external. Poles tend to increase the gain to infinity and zero to 0.
I have learned that in most cases the output load capacitance , or in the case of...
Re: Diode connected MOS
Thanks for the reply.
I got the circuit part of it. But could u explain in physical terms. i.e in terms of working of the mos. I guess this is too much to ask but just curious.
Is it that when u connect drain to gate, which are 180 degrees out of phase for small...
Hi all,
I was wondering why does a diode connected MOS should have an output resistance of 1/gm. I understand that a voltage controlled current source i.e Gm*Vgs, would give a resistance of 1/Gm if same voltage is applied across it but i am not able to figure out what makes it happen in MOS, if...
Thanks for the reply........
I am working with cadence SpectreS. I think i have all MOS Model files only. IS there any way by which i can get BJT model files?
Anil
Hi all,
I am trying to design a amplifier using BJT. While changing the property of the BJT it asks for parameter like model name, area, region etc.
I am not able to figure out what the model name is. I tried NPN, NPNMOD but to no avail. moreover it is asking for a .m file......
If anybody...
