Can sound-waves affect thermal dissipation/rate of heat transfered?

Ultrasonic welding does not create heat through increased convection. It does it through contact and friction. You know how rubbing your hands together worms them up? That's ultrasonic welding. ak

Can sound-waves affect thermal dissipation/rate of heat transfered?

While the compression half of a cycle of a sound wave does increase the air pressure which does increase heat flow, the following rarefaction half cycle decreases pressure and heat flow. By definition the average value of the air pressure of an audio wave is zero, so there is no net increase in...

VSS for 4013 D flip flop

Yes, but only if the input signals are referenced to the VSS potential, whatever that is. All 4013 variations I'm familiar with can handle 10V between VSS and VDD. The paart has no explicit Ground pin. ak

    LM317 output Currrent

increase current lm317 I think you're confusing the switching performance of power mosfets with their lack-of-advantages in linear circuits. Very small MOSFETs handle very large currents, but ONLY when operated in a pulse mode. That is, either saturated or off, never in the linear active...

    Anomali with 7486 logic IC

LS chips were derived from the original TTL circuits. Even though it is very bad practice, TTL and LS have a "feature" - if an input is left floating, it appears as a logic 1. That is, unused inputs float high. This is not true with CMOS parts, even TTL equivalent CMOS parts like the ACT or...

    Inverting Amplifier problem

About half way down page 2 of the data sheet is "Input Voltage Range". This is a traditional op amp, not one of the new "rail-to-rail" parts. The input voltage range can be as small as the total power supply voltage minus 5V. Since your total power is 5V, that's a problem. All major op amp...

    Need formula for sigma-delta modulator

Need Formula ... Both Analog Devices and Linear Tech have app notes covering some of the math, although I think they hold some of it back as trade secret. ak

Looking for an IC which converts 5 v to 3.3 v

5v to 3.3v National Semi, LTC, TI, and Maxim all have bunches of low-dropout voltage regulators (LDO's). Packages range from TO-220 down to SOT-23 and smaller. Or, you could use a single resistor and a zener diode, but low-voltage zeners are not very stable. ak
