Softload is not a big problem. You can untar "SOFTLOAD.TAR" from the first CD into your directory and then call "softload" directly from there.
No need to set "setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1" at all.
IC 5.141 works very well on my new Core2Duo laptop with Ubuntu 7.04 (Debian should also be fine).
- Hardwares (VGA, HD) support depend on OS.
- 3GB memory limit is due to software itself, while 4GB is limitation of 32-bit architecture.
- IC5033 can run on x86-64 both from Intel and AMD, but only operate in 32-bit mode.
