use both core all the time
one license does equal one core, but they do have seperate liscense to enable as many processors as you want.
i don't know about the sweep being distributed if you have more than one license. I haven't heard of that or tried it.
oh i didn't know that but thanks for the info. i was just going by what i see with alot of members here. not saying this user is, just saying it isn't a stretch to assume that.
with 32bit, Windows will limit the amount of RAM that can be accessed by applications to 2GB. You can increase this up to 3GB by changing the boot.ini file. Search google for /3GB switch to see how to do this.
how small should i make it, i thought i would want it to extend the total width of the microstrip and all the way to the ground plane. If it is treated as a PEC I don't understand how I would draw it at all. forgive me I have always used wave ports so lumped ports are new to me. I think i...
momentum layout
right now that is what i am doing, just importing the 2D drawing and sweeping the shape along a vector to make it 3D, just thought that maybe there was a way to translate with substrate and other layers. someone was telling me they were able to import the layout into Ansoft...
coupler hfss
I am trying to simulate in HFSS a microstrip coupler, but it has 90 degree bends as the feed point. see attached picture. I have simulated alot of couplers before, but they have always had feed points on the same side of the substrate so I would normally use a wave port. but with...
export ads momentum to ansoft hfss
hi, i am trying to figure out how i can translate a late i have in momentum to HFSS. I have tried exporting to dxf, gdsII and a few othere but when import them into hfss they are just flat and don't have any of the dimensions such as thickness. I found...
cpw excitation
i've done a finite ground CPW and i drew the integration line on one port from the ground to the center line on one side, and one the second port i drew the integration line from the other ground to the center line. I verified the results i got with an ADS result and it matched...
