    SLA battery charging voltage?

WRONG...... The SLA batteries will not tolerate too fast charging.... You have to control current also or they will last much less time.... It is important to read the specs from the battery manufacturer. Best regards, Alexg

Connect two uC's trought GPRS (without PPP stack)?!?

Even with fixed IP address you may not be able to route the packets if the provider has not configured internetworking routes. Are they public ip address or onky valid inside the provider network ??

    measuring transformer current capacity

If you have a variable load available you can check when the transformer starts to get hot !! Not precise at all but if you go slow you can use it in a safe region....

[SOLVED] What is this call ? 110-220 AC stepdown to 12 DC 1A without

Withour a transformer or inductor for 1A I would call it impossible ! For up to about 100 ma you can drop the voltage using a capacitor. Over that you have to have a transformer or at least an inductor and a switching supply. Power integration has some nice IC's that are quite simple to use. But...

    Radio Packet Standard Protocols?

ax25 is quite a complex protocol. You might want to look for something simpler depending on your application. The only real differences when comparing radio to RS485 is that you need a preamble before the data, the chanell is much noisier and depending on your hardware you have to balance data...

Need help designing a digital circuit

What you need is called a "window comparator". Follows a link to one of many many ways of doing it. Do a search with windows comparator and you will find a lot of different circuits to opt from. **broken link removed** Best regards, Alexg

    12 bit A/D converter.....

Thanks a LOT, Johnyaya The article is absolutely great and clears up many topics that Mr. Ott does not even clear in his books ! It is indispensable for anyone doing mixed signals design. Very concise and complete. Take a look at it Trishool it will clear up things even better than...

    12 bit A/D converter.....

It is a nice little compilation of most of the important stuff. If you need something more specific in that area I might be able to help. I had to gather lots of material for a project I made and I have everything printed in paper and archived in the deeps of some closet  If you need more...

    [SOLVED] How to make register 1/2w value below 1 ohm ? 0.83 / 0.5 /

You can put 3 in parallel and get 0.33 ohm ! Best regards, Alexg

    12 bit A/D converter.....

Like many other things in electronics.. Your mileage may vary depending on your application. Usually you want to make a clear current path for each section of your circuit. Analog ground plane returns analog noise and digital ground plane returns digital noise. If you have the current path well...

    12 bit A/D converter.....

You did not look well enough 😄 Here it goes, it is a simple app note but quite informative app note AN688: **broken link removed** Best regards, Alexg

    12 bit A/D converter.....

Usually the greatest noise generator are clock circuits and the microcontroller itself. If you have a single microcontroller and the AD converter use 2 different 78L05 regulator for each one !! They are cheap and in that way you will pretty much isolate the VCC noise. Use a HUGE ground plane for...

    12 bit A/D converter.....

Using a 16 bit a/d only will not solve the reference problem, the digital noise problems or the power supply rejection problem ! You have to really take very good care on those items if you want more than 10 bits real precision. It is quite and engineering task to get full 12 bits precision...

    12 bit A/D converter.....

Hi, Be very carefull with the board layout when doing 12 bit conversions. It is pretty hard to get more than efectivy 10 bits if you do not make a good ground plane, isolate as much as possible the digital and analog side of the circuit and have very solid power connections right under the...

wire wrapping to a 48-pin CLCC package

clcc package What I have done many times is to solder wire wrap wire to the socket and than to wire wrap posts ! It is does not get specially beautifull but works very nicely. Best regards, Alexg
