The difference between voltage mode and current mode is that voltage mode uses an artificial ramp ( usually the timing cap sawtooth) for the PWM, and current mode uses the ramp from the inductor current.
The ramp in current mode when primay current is sensed is made up from Primay magnetizing...
zener buck
I think the problem is with inductor. Tell us what are you using: Core size/material and number of turns. There is a large voltage across the inductor, and it needs to have a good size core/torroid with many turns.
Let us know.
orcad designfile
Hi,
I am new to this site, I do not know if I am posting this in the right place, but I am looking for a SMPS schematics in Cadence /Orcad Capture with PFC front end, EMI filter, etc. It does not matter what topology it is, or outputs and etc.
Thanks.
2 switch forward
Hi,
What freq. did you have your single switch 24V @10A operating? Looks like 50-80KHZ based on the core size. I am familiar with ML4810. I have been recently using UCC28514 PFC combo IC.
I do not have any experience with half bridge, but coming off of PFC, does it need...
two switch forward converter
I have to design a low cost 300W (90-264VAC) power factor corrected single output (+24V) with small PCB. I have chosen Forward Conveter. Calculations shows an EER28-L core can barely do this.
I am looking for some suggestions or comments.
