you can install mplayer after its download, which can play different kinds of video formats i.e: wmv, Dat , mp3, etc.

I installed Skype on FC8 successfully, but when i call some body, i recieve a message of "Audio playback" problem.

The problem of the yum behind the proxy was solved, but now skype installation shows the following message shown by the printscreen pic which i have uploaded below.

I have tried to install skype on my FC8, bu t have problem or repositories, which are as under:
Failed dependencies:
libQtCore.so.4 is needed by skype-2.0.0.68-fc5.i586
libQtDBus.so.4 is needed by skype-2.0.0.68-fc5.i586
libQtGui.so.4 is needed by skype-2.0.0.68-fc5.i586...
I hope you wud have solved the prob by the time i answer. Anyway it would be helpful for others.
Step#1:Make some free space in your hard drive( some 10GB)
Step#2:reboot ur system with RH CD in the drive.
Step#3:Follow the onscreen tips.
Step#4:Choose free space for Linux to be installled on...
Re: install
the same way as on desktops, but merely donnot forget to tick the OS for laptops which has laptop oriented software. Read the on screen tips during installation and you will reach the destination with success.
Adab! The said problem is miner as far as i know from my experience. the problem is with the mouse not the OS. Take out the ball from the mouse and clean the rollers well by your finger nail or some thing else. and that is all.

I vote for computer engineer, not being computer engineer by myself-final semester, but on the basis of the fact that our class can compete electronic engineering class in electronics (Our teachers say that our class is even better) and they can not compete us in software.
