in any network kard there are:
1)any connnector e.g Rj45
2)one magnet which is between Rj45 and physical layer IC
3)one PHY IC-> physical layer
4)one MAC IC-> MAC layer
somtimes the PHY IC and MAC IC are integrated in one IC

hi all starters by ARM micro controllers.
if you want to have best performance with available tools(you hate straggling) you can chose Keil ARM tool chain witch is available at keil.com (for evaluation).
