hello, everybody,
I want to install perl(active perl 5.8.4) on my PC (win2000). Which softwares(except the perl itself) should I install? How can I configue the environment variables? Any information is welcome.

You don't need anything except what is provided in the PERL distribution package. Have you looked at the installation guide on the following URL? If so, what specifically confuses you? The instructions are rather clear unless you aren't familiar with Windows admin.
