Hello,

Has anyone realized constant-temperature cell by "peltier effect", I found it used in laser field to control temperature, but how to realize it by the cheapest cost?

Regards,

Davy Zhu

The semiconductor made peltier cell still remain an expensive component due the large amount of semiconductor inside and due it's "hybrid" (rather than monolitic) nature.

You can find a diagram for a controller of peltier devives in h**p:\\www.oatleyelectronics.com. Go to peltier devices and at the end of the page choose Peltier Controller. On the next page choose Download Instractions. This is the circuit diagram in pdf format.
It is not a constant temperature controller that can heat or cool automatically according to external temperature but it coould be a good start.

A friend of mine used peltier ellements to cool a laser. He says that peltier is effective up to 200 W.Note that peltier ellement is based on thermoelectric effect and it`s also consumes energy.
Here are parameters of such ellement
Max current 6 A
Max Voltage 15.4 V
Max cooling 53 W
Max temp. Difference 71 K
resistance 2.2 ohm
Dimmension 40x40x3.9

For schematic of a peltier cooler with controller:

Hello, thank you for your suggestions!

Another question, is there a tech to combine the "peltier effect" cell with the IC to one package (Cooling system and IC on a Chip)?
