I need a solid explanation of what AM/AM and AM/PM distortion is in RF power amplifiers.
I certainly understand that RF signals that do NOT have a constant envelope will generate in band distortion. What I do not understand is
how you get from the distortion term to a quantifyable expression
of AM/AM distortion. How is this even quantified.
How is AM/PM quantified .... in degrees I assume, but how is the result
computed ???????
If anyone can point me to a paper that explains this, I would be most
oblidged.
Please email me at aschwarzinger(at)d2d.com.

yes, degrees.
computed ? Measured !
